Finding the luxe in Dubai

Being greeted by a doorman at the Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai dressed in tails and a top hat is an unexpected but stylish touch. Stepping through the revolving doors my eye is drawn to an image showcasing the city and some of Dubai’s most impressive architectural wonders.  Above the expansive cityscape, a modern glass chandelier (hand-blown) extends its way across the lobby. As I discovered during my stay, the modern luxury boutique hotel is filled with locally inspired art features and colours chosen to mimic the hues found in the region.

The Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai is one of the newer additions of luxury boutique hotels for discerning visitors to the United Arab Emirates most populated city. A complimentary mix of modern and luxe giving character and charm, combined with captivating views of either the city’s dynamic skyline including the world’s tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa, or the Dubai Water Canal, make this hotel ideal for the business traveler wanting something vibrant and fresh or for a couple seeking a romantic escape.
