Weird to say but thanks for checking me out! As my profile blurb says, I’m a Brisbane based freelance writer and blogger pursuing my passion for writing. I blog about random topics on JennJayTales but this blog Travel Bug Within is about one of my serious passions: TRAVEL. Travellers share a common link – a desire to meet people, experience new places and cultures, or re-visit somewhere where there was an affinity. I’m one of countless millions travelling for various reasons: fun; adventure; curiosity and business. But no matter where – travel is special.
So why the name?
I have a bug (a good bug) sustained by regular doses of travel. Why not hint at my love of travel? That it’s within moi. Adding “au” gives my Australian identity.
My travels are not always to faraway places. Living in South East Queensland (Australia), on my doorstep are some incredible places to spend either a day, a few nights or weeks.
Travel inspires me and the travel bug inside wishes I could escape more often. However, a couple of constraints means I cannot uproot and travel endlessly. Somewhere in the future my gypsy soul will wander for longer (sabbaticals in foreign places) but right now I’m mum to three teenage lads – so I will stay in the one place for a few more years. These guys help provide me with writing inspiration, content (and occasional grief!)
Travel Bug Within is more than a gathering of travel stories, it’s the sharing of my experiences to hopefully inspire you to go out and explore our amazing world. Please take a moment to read about my adventures and I hope you enjoy walking in my shoes. And if you’d like me to write for you, please send me an email
Happy and safe travels,
